Why Coaching?
Before I describe what a Beachbody Coach does or what it means to be a coach, I feel like I should bust through some common misconceptions...
“Coaches need to be Fitness Professionals or Certified Nutritionists.”
NO! Beachbody Coaches are real people who are Beachbody advocates and have a desire to pay it forward and create change in others and ourselves.
“Beachbody Coaches need to be in great shape and have a complete transformation.”
NO again! Coaches come in all shapes and sizes. Our job isn't to be a size 0, or have perfect model-like body. Coaches strive to inspire others into action by sharing our stories of daily progress. We are all about progress over perfection!
“Coaches need to have business experience and/or extensive social media experience.”
NOPE! Actually, I didn't have any experience when I started. I learned little by little, in my own time, by taking small steps each day.
“Coaches must be extroverts in order to succeed.”
Not exactly. Truthfully, I have been known to be a very shy person. Yet, my desire to help change other people's lives and my own gave me the courage to share my story and invite others to join me.
“Coaches need to be able to dedicate a lot of time to building a business.”
Nope! I built my business in my spare time while working a full-time job, running a household, and being a wife & mother of two. You put in as much time as you can — the more you put in, the more you get out of it.
If I would have bought into all these misconceptions, I would have never given this opportunity the chance it deserves.
What drew me into coaching was two-fold.
First, in two short years as a Beachbody customer, I was bleeding Beachbody Blue — I believed in the company, I believed in the products. And I believed that I could help make a difference in others using them. Plus, I was already talking to everyone about my story and results. At work, on Facebook, at the grocery store… everywhere and to anyone who wanted to listen. P90X and Insanity had completely transformed my body and confidence and I wanted others to feel as good as I felt!
Secondly, my family needed extra money. We were drowning in debt, bills, and baby costs. There was just too much month left at the end of the money. In the summer of 2010, I had already decided to take matters into my own hands and I started searching for at-home businesses online. That’s when God sent me this coaching opportunity. I am not ashamed to admit that I joined as a coach because I wanted to earn an additional part-time income. What I didn’t know was that this business would not only alleviate some of our financial stress, it also would bring joy, happiness and purpose when I needed it most.
It all started with a goal to earn $50 per week to help pay for diapers. That goal turned into so much more!
So, why Beachbody Coaching?
I think the right question to ask is, “why not?!” When you become a coach, you have the unique opportunity to transform your mind, body, and soul. You have the opportunity to change your life. To earn a little extra income. And the ability to create a positive impact in others lives. That’s why I see it as such a blessing.

So, you might be thinking, “looks like fun, but what exactly do coaches do?”
I will start that answer with our mission statement. To “help people achieve their goals and live a healthy, fulfilling life.” So, in a nutshell, we are life changers. We use the tools Beachbody gives us, i.e. our top notch fitness and nutritional products, to help transform people’s lives.
Coaches workout, live a healthy lifestyle and we share our journey openly and authentically with others.
As a Beachbody advocate and by being a “product of the product,” YOU are the greatest advertisement for your business! You go first and others will follow. We are not “selling” the products, we are sharing a healthy lifestyle, what has worked for us and our teammates!
Through casual conversations with friends, family, and people you meet, both in-person or on social media, we connect, build trust, and make product recommendations that will suit their needs and goals!
Coaches provide support. We add our customers to private accountability groups called Challenge Groups and we help create daily wins and obtain the very best results possible. That’s the magic behind what we do. Fitness + Nutrition + SUPPORT = Success
Coaches create more advocates and we build a team. Happy customers naturally want to share their results and their passion for the products. It’s our job invite them to learn more about the business opportunity with the goal of impacting more families and reversing the trend of obesity!
Coaches help each other. We help coaches, who join your team learn more about the Beachbody business and become more successful. You will not be left alone on this adventure.
