HOW LONG

DID IT TAKE YOU

TO GET

THOSE ABS?!

I get asked almost daily, "how long it did take you to get those abs?" Well, it definitely wasn't overnight. My post-baby transformation story started in June of 2008. Yes, 2008! That's many, many years of consistent action, focus and WORK! Years that included 21 Beachbody programs total and many hybrid schedules in between. Work, work, work!

I also can't forget to mention tons of trial and error and lots of tweaking to my nutrition. I never gave up on figuring out what works best for me, my health, and my fitness. The truth is: abs ARE made in the kitchen. I made a commitment in June 2008 and I have never stopped elevating myself, pushing boundaries and focusing on yearly progress.

DAY 1 OF THE REST OF MY LIFE.

I remember pushing play on P90X in June 2008 and thinking "Finally! This is a REAL home fitness program!" On day 1 I decided that this program would be the one to help me get back my sexy back!

Was it tough? YES!

But I was focused!

I kept pushing play every day, 5 months later in I was in my pre-pregnancy jeans, a Dallas Cowboy costume and showing my stomach! And 11 months later my abs were back and I was rocking a bikini — feeling sexy and confident again! BAM! I did it! Hard work and consistency paid off!

TIME FOR SOMETHING NEW.

After two years of Tony Horton and P90X, I decided to get insane with INSANITY and Shaun T in March 2010. Ummmm WOW! I will never forget Day 1. I wondered what I had gotten myself into. Yet, just like with P90X, I was determined to finish and achieve that completion t-shirt. INSANITY tested my desire and will every single day. It taught me mental toughness and reinforced goal setting.

It also taught me that to see real results, you must eat! 1200 calories do not work!

MY TOP 7 BEACHBODY PROGRAMS

As a Beachbody Coach, I pride myself on being “a product of the product.” Since June 2008, I have completed 21 fitness programs from the comfort of my home. Several programs stand out to me as ones that created the most change. I invite you to a look!

P90X

This was my very first program and you know you never forget your first love! This P90X is for people wanting to lift weights but also want to work on balance, stability, endurance, and flexibility. There are two different schedules to choose from depending on your goals: Lean or Classic.

P90X2

This program is completely different than the original P90X. X2 is structured for performance. Tons of push-ups, tons of pull-ups, and a huge focus on balance. When you work on balance you are working core and that means ABS! My abs got shredded through this process. Not your typical weight lifting program!

Once again, Tony Horton is at the top of my favorites. X3 has a great variety of workouts from mixed martial arts, yoga, upper body, lower body and even pilates. This program focuses on lifting, balance, flexibility and functional fitness. There are three different schedule options to choose from depending on your goals: Lean, Classic, and Mass. This fast-paced 90-day program is fun and provides a great workout in just 30 minutes per day!

The Master's Hammer and Chisel

In August 2016, I was selected for my very first Coach-Only Test Group and it was Master’s Hammer and Chisel. It was 60 days of intense weightlifting. Hammer and Chisel really helped me take my strength and endurance to another level with different training styles each and every day. It's leg day every day with MHC.
