Mes de Más is the complete package. You will work every inch of your body and hit those areas to help you burn fat and tone up. You will also work balance, stability, coordination, agility, endurance, mobility, flexibility, core and speed. All in a short amount of time and with very minimal equipment. I’ve completed a LOT of Beachbody programs, and every time a new one is released I feel like a kid on Christmas morning. I love a new fitness challenge. I love embarking on a new journey and seeing how I can train differently and make more progress. With Mes de Más the excitement is doubled. Here’s why...

 

  1. This is Beachbody’s first fitness program filmed completely in Spanish with a Hispanic trainer, Idalis Velazquez.

  2. And, hello, I’m in the cast! Yup, you read that correctly — I was chosen by Beachbody to appear in the workout videos. I’m in 9 of the 24 routines and the intensifier in most! Imagine pressing plan on your daily workout and BOOM — here’s Becky on the screen working hard, huffing and puffing, just like you! Dreams do come true! “Dale Becky!” like Idalis says often (translation: “Go Becky!”).

My Personal Mes de Más Experience & Review

So, yes, I was in the workouts, but I also completed the entire program myself as a Beachbody Customer! Mes de Más was released with VIP Access on Beachbody on Demand on July, 16, 2018. This was perfect timing for me because I was traveling to Italy with my whole family for two weeks

 

Whether working out on a balcony, patio or in a tiny hotel room, this program was exactly what I needed to keep me engaged with my fitness while traveling.

 

It didn’t matter that our hotels didn’t have gyms because I didn’t need weights to get a great total body workout. If I wanted to add some resistance, I often used champagne bottles in place of weights (hey, sometimes you’ve got to get creative). The 30 minute time frame came in handy for a quick morning sweat sesh before heading out on tours. I enjoyed every moment of Mes de Más while on the road!

 

One thing I learned: don’t underestimate the beautiful and sweet, Idalis Velazquez and her training skills.

 

She’s an athlete, a mother of 3, and a completely amazing person. I am astounded by how creative she is with the moves and thrilled at how this program challenged my strength, endurance, cardio, balance and flexibility!

  • Is this for beginners only?

    Absolutely not! Whether you are beginner, intermediate or advanced, there is a version of each workout for you! While only a yoga mat is required, you can also add in a sandbag or dumbbells to challenge yourself even more. But remember, body weight training does not mean low on intensity, believe me, you can get a great workout with just you and Mother Earth.

  • Is Mes de Más only for Spanish speakers?

    NO! In my opinion fitness knows no language, but there is an English voice option for you! I actually speak Spanish, but didn’t know any fitness terms in Spanish. I used my experience with Mes de Más to work on my second language. Win-win!

  • How much space do you need for Mes de Más?

    Enough space for a mat and a couple of feet to move around it. So, not a whole lot of room, a huge plus! I literally did the Week 2 Upper Body workout in a tiny hotel room hallway! Where there’s a will, there’s a way.

  • Is there a nutrition plan?

    Si! Every Beachbody program comes with its own nutrition plan and Mes de Más is no different. Your plan will be based on a easy to follow portion control system to help you see maximum results during your 4 weeks of more! AND, you will get some amazing and delicious Hispanic recipes to cook at home! Que Rico!

  • Will I really see results in just 4 week?

    Undoubtedly, yes! But depending on your goals, you could commit to this program for several rounds, advancing each time. For example, if you start out following the modifier, the goal would be to make enough progress so that you can level up to the regular movements for round 2, then go for the Intensifier in Round 3! If you feel like the beginner-level workouts are too easy for you, remember you always have the Intensifier version if you want to take it up a notch!

  • Am I really getting a good workout in only 30 minutes?

    YES! I can tell you that you won’t have time to check your phone in between moves because you will be working. Your heart rate never really has a chance to go down, which makes for a great calorie burn! Believe me, the huffing and puffing is real, especially on the cardio and agility days.

  • Are the workouts the same week to week?

    NOPE, there’s a new workout every-single-day— 24 unique workouts so you’ll never get bored. The moves and the workouts progressively get tougher each week. Each new week builds on what you’ve learned in the previous weeks. Here’s what you can expect…

     

    Week 1: You’ll spend more time getting used to the workouts, learning how to use the mat, and the basic movements.

     

    Week 2: Build on what you’ve learned focusing more on endurance and intensity.

     

    Week 3: Adding more complex and compound movements to challenge you further.

     

    Week 4: The final week to show how strong you’ve become!

  • Is Mes de Más good for group or partner workouts?

    YES, it’s actually perfect to share with your friends, family, and ever kids! Every Saturday is Cardio or Agility, which are both great workouts to share with your fitness friends and push each other to do MORE!

  • How can I try Mes de Más?

    Everything is included with a Beachbody On Demand subscription — all 24 workouts, a simple quick start guide, the meal plan, nutrition tracker, recipes, everything!

     

    The only things you may need if you don’t already have them are:

     

    1. Portion Containers
    2. Shakeology
    3. Sandbag (for intensifier workouts)
    4. A Yoga Mat
